How to crosslist, step by step
Crosslisting means listing one item on several marketplaces at once. More buyers see it, so it usually sells sooner. Here is how to do it well, by hand or with an app.
Is crosslisting allowed?
Yes. eBay, Etsy and Facebook Marketplace all let you list an item you also have for sale elsewhere. What they do not allow is selling something you no longer have, so the one rule that matters is taking the other listings down the moment it sells.
The manual way
- Write one strong master listing: a searchable title, clear photos, measurements, condition and flaws.
- Post it on your first marketplace, then copy it to the next, adjusting for each one: eBay wants item specifics, Etsy wants tags and "when made", Facebook wants a short, local-friendly description.
- Keep a sheet of where every item is listed, with links.
- When something sells, end every other listing right away, before you pack the order.
It works for a few dozen items. Past that, the copying and the sheet become the job.

Crosslisting checklist
- Photos: main photo on a plain background, then every side, labels, marks and flaws.
- Measurements and weight, measured, never guessed: buyers pay postage from them.
- A title with brand, item, model or pattern, era, and size or color.
- One inventory record per item, with where it is listed.

Questions and answers
Is crosslisting worth it?
For most resellers, yes. The same item reaches different buyers on each marketplace, and you only pay a marketplace's selling fee where it sells.
Can I crosslist from eBay to Etsy?
Yes, as long as the item fits Etsy's rules: resold items must be vintage, at least 20 years old. Handmade items and craft supplies also qualify.
List it everywhere. Sell it anywhere.
