Vinted and Depop

Vinted and Depop: two clothing apps, one inventory

Vinted and Depop are where secondhand clothing sells. VendorSnap lists the same piece on both from your phone, with each one's own categories, sizes and colours, so it never sells twice.

Bought for $12. On five marketplaces before you reach the car.

Why list on both

Vinted charges the seller nothing: the buyer pays its Buyer Protection fee and the postage. Depop charges no selling fee in the U.S., only payment processing, and reaches shoppers who buy secondhand as fashion. Both are clothing first, so the same jacket, dress or pair of jeans has buyers on each.

How VendorSnap keeps them in step

  • On Vinted: VendorSnap fills in Vinted's own form on your phone, through your own Vinted sign-in, and when the item sells somewhere else you tap Take Down and your phone removes the Vinted listing.
  • On Depop: VendorSnap fills in Depop's own listing form on your phone, through your own Depop sign-in, with Depop's own choices for category, size and package size, and posts it. When the item sells somewhere else, you tap Remove and your phone takes the Depop listing down.
  • Sold on Vinted? Mark it sold as Vinted, then tap Remove, and your phone takes the Depop listing down.
  • Sold on Depop? Mark it sold as Depop, then tap Take Down, and your phone removes the Vinted listing.
  • Add eBay and Etsy too, and those listings end by their APIs, in seconds, whichever way it sells.

Vinted and Depop are both in beta in VendorSnap: they list and take down listings in the United States, from the phone app.

Which one keeps more?

On a $50 piece with $10 shipping, Vinted takes nothing from you and Depop $2.43 in payment processing. See the Vinted fee calculator and the Depop fee calculator.

Questions and answers

Does VendorSnap use Vinted's and Depop's own sizes?

Yes. Each listing uses its own marketplace's lists: Vinted's sizes for the category you pick, and Depop's US size list for the type of item, so each form is filled in exactly.

What sells on both Vinted and Depop?

Clothing, shoes, bags and accessories most of all: brand-name and vintage pieces, streetwear and sneakers.
